Duke GTX is Kayland's new low-cut shoe – your perfect partner for fast-and-light hiking on varied terrain types.
SOLE
The Duke GTX sole unit has been engineered to deliver maximum comfort in any situation and on all terrain types – no matter how challenging. The foot is in direct contact with the dual density EVA midsole, which features a soft, cradling area for the foot and a high density ESS area just above the outsole. The Vibram® Duke sole, featuring the two-tone XS Trek EVO compound, contains windows through which the ESS midsole within can be seen.
UPPER AND LINING
The Duke GTX fabric upper features stitch-free PU overmouldings and the Gore-Tex Invisible Fit membrane laminated directly onto the upper, ensuring superb lightness and optimal insulation from the elements.
Boot closure features the Smart Lacing System which guarantees swift and precise lacing in any situation. Together with the Ankle Lock System, they ensure a perfectly snug fit and excellent ankle support.
Kayland's Overlasting Construction delivers excellent impact protection, while the rubber rand protects the foot even on the harshest, rockiest terrain. The additional PU inserts provide even greater protection, especially around the ankle and heel.

VIBRAM® DUKE - XS TREK EVO COMPOUND
The Vibram® DUKE sole features traction lug technology: a tread pattern designed specifically for varied terrain, stones, gravel and grass that ensures enhanced grip underfoot. The toe features a climbing zone, ideal for more demanding trails or via ferratas, while the rubber toecap and extended wings on the sole protect the foot and deliver enhanced shock absorption.
