CAMP SPLIT MITT N - Warm Gloves with a Separate Index Finger for Mountaineering and Ski Touring

The CAMP SPLIT MITT N are versatile gloves for mountaineering and ski touring that combine the warmth of a mitten with the dexterity of a glove. The thumb and index finger are separate, while the other three fingers are joined together, so your fingers stay warm while you can grip, fasten, and handle gear with greater precision.

The long cuff can be opened and closed with one hand, and an additional strap above the wrist ensures a snug fit and better heat retention. This keeps the gloves securely in place even during windy ascents.

Key Features:

• “Split Mitt” construction: separate index finger and thumb for precision, shared pocket for the remaining fingers for warmth
• PrimaLoft® Gold insulation (266 g/m²) in the main body: warmth and good insulation retention even when wet
• PrimaLoft® Eco Grip Control 100 g/m² in the palm: warmth without sacrificing grip sensitivity
• Water-resistant and breathable DRYZONE® membrane: protection against moisture and wind
• Goatskin palm and fingers: durability and a secure grip on ice axes, trekking poles, and ropes
• Long cuff with Open-Close system: opens and closes with one hand, even while wearing gloves
• Additional strap above the wrist: a more precise fit and less heat loss

Mitt gloves with a separate index finger or classic fingered gloves?

Classic fingered gloves, such as the CAMP G Hot Wool Dry, offer the greatest dexterity in each finger. The SPLIT MITT N is warmer because the fingers are together, but it retains precision in the thumb and index finger. For extreme cold, there’s an even thicker option, the CAMP SUMMITT N (a full mitten with PrimaLoft® Gold up to 500 g/m²). The SPLIT MITT N is the ideal mid-range option for mountaineers and ski tourers who want warmth without sacrificing equipment handling.

CAMP SPLIT MITT N gloves are designed for mountaineers, ski tourers, and hikers seeking a warm, waterproof mitten with a separate index finger and a reliable leather palm.
